We are dried, repainted, cleaned, and ready to see you all again—TOMORROW (June 22).
What we expected to be a month of demo and rebuild turned into one best case scenario after another (thanks for those prayers & good juju). The drywall was able to be successfully dried by a fast-action water restoration company (working since last Thursday night), our espresso machine is still working, and our wallpaper mostly made it through the flood.
The community’s support has allowed us to financially stay afloat despite lost revenue. We don’t have the words to express or overwhelming gratitude. We’re incredibly grateful for the KC coffee community, our customers, friends, staff, & families for coming alongside us. We love you all.
We plan to pay it forward by donating 10% of our sales June 22-24 to #coffeeforfamilies, a fundraiser organized by @sprudge benefitting the Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project, which is providing aid to reunify families who have been separated at the border.
